  1. Rent a compressor and air hammer.

  2. where do people get all of these crazy ideas, just rent an electric jack hammer, get some strong backs and get the job done. if not physically capable, hire it out

  3. not really. it's hard work. a sledge will work as will a jack hammer.

  4. Use a sledge hammer and get some good exercise.

  5. Best way is to get someone else to do it !!!!! lol .Dont rent a jackhammer for a day, you are much better off buying a small one for $60 from a large hardware (thats what they cost here) Other than that you can buy some stone discs for your angle grinder and chop it up that way also using a large hammer to break it up. lotsa luck

  6. If you can drill holes in the concrete then there is a expansive cement mix that when mixed with water and poured into the holes you drilled in the concrete will break the cement up without any real back breaking effort from you.  The cement mix expands and will cause the slab to crack.  There are different manufactures of this cement. I've included a link to one manufacturer.

  7. i tear all my sidewalks up by hand ...get a 5 ft. spud bar and raise the slab off the ground a couple of inches, now you can break it into pieces while someone stands on the end of the bar to hold it up...last week i tore out 40 ft. of 5 ft. wide sidewalk in 4 hours and hauled it away...

  8. If I'm converting meters to feet correctly you have just over a 6 foot square section to break up?

The driveway; If done correctly is going to have metal rods throughout it(rebar) or a metal mesh and will be quite thick; Thicker in the colder climates.

Best way is a long(5') steel pry bar to lift the section up and a large sledge hammer. Break it off in pieces starting at the corner.

    WEAR SAFETY GOGGLES!!!!

You didn't mention if this particular piece is connected to any  adjacent concrete; if it is than you'll have to get a concrete saw and cut the section free from the good area or you'll  break the adjacent concrete for sure..

  9. You either hire a jackhammer or prise it up with a crowbar pushing a rock under it and break bits off with a mallet. It depends on your resources, you financial position and your physical strength. If you use the crowbar method go for a corner first and work your way into the centre. My husband has done this with sections around that size as it's not always easy to hire a jackhammer anyway.

  10. jack hammer
