Question:

Is there a size difference between a Ken Doll and the Max Steel doll?

And, if there is a size difference, what is it? My nephew has requested that I make a James Bond suit and a camouflage outfit for his Max Steel doll. My sister thinks it may be a little more beefed up than Ken, but since I haven't played with Barbies since I was 10, I have no idea. I have a Ken Doll pattern to use, if I can. Can you buy doll clothes (in a store, not online) for Max Steel? I know he's a 12" Mattel figure. Thanks!

  1. MS IS beefier than KC, but, so far, everything from the waist down seems to fit, including shoes.  Surprisingly, shirts seem to fit, too, but they are tighter and stretch somewhat.

They don't make separate civvies for Max, but most Kenwear seems to work okay.  Also, 21st Century Toys used to sell separate camouflage uniforms [mid-late '90s].

As to James Bond, I have had my Max in a Ken tux before.

  2. Hahaaaaaa.

  3. use stretchy material!
