Is there a solar eclipse tonight in perth?? anyone know??

i kant seem to find any information on it. but i got told that one was on tonight at 2:20 till 5am. can anyone tell me wheather it is on tonight or not?? please get bak to ma asap.. thankyou =)

I make it 03:20 your time, so you should just about be able to make out a slight shading on the Moon if you take a look right now.

For Perth (UT + 8 hours) the times are:

Penumbral eclipse begins 02:23

Partial eclipse begins 03:36

Greatest eclipse 05:10. 81% of the Moon's diameter covered.

Partial eclipse ends 06:45

Penumbral eclipse ends 07:57, but the Moon will have set by 06:54 at your location.

There is a partial eclipse of the Moon tonight visible from Perth, taking place right now. You can't have solar eclipses at night because the Sun is below the horizon.
