i was wondering because i have a friend and i think she has some sort of complex

she always talking about how intellectual and smart she is and how slow and goofy i am when in truth i make better grades than her

she also gets so mad so long over something that most people would let fall off their back like water off a ducks back (ex: she got pissed at one of my friends just for reading twighlight and at me for taking a certain elective next year for school)

she also gets these little phases where everything you say irratates her and then is all happy and stuff

any help here?

  1. immature and manipulative plus perhaps bipolar disorder.  tell her to get help or your friendship is on the line.  seriously, people like this thrive on denial and hurting others.

  2. It would be difficult to diagnose someone based on a Yahoo question.  The few things here could fall under several personality and/or character disorders, but it would be unfair to assess someone based on limited second hand information.  And without knowing her and what is going on in her life, again, it would be unfair to slap a label onto her.  Also, I take it you are all in high school?  Well, as I recall, teenagers are going through a lot of changes so we al tended to act irrationally sometimes.

If her behavior bothers you, have you tried asking her about it?  Especially for the way she treats, reacts or behaves that directly effects you?  She might not even be aware of what she does and the impact it has on others around her.

  3. bipolar.

  4. there is this women at church and she was the fomer head pastors daughter so when i go in the foyer she is usually there posing.

  5. I had a friend like that once, at first I couldnt understand the reasons behind her behaviour I just thought it was her personality but once I got to know her better and we got talking about things I realised it was as a result of events that happened, it was like her defence mechanism to react to things that way. She's extremely quick tempered and totally takes things the wrong way a lot but I just had a talk with her bout it and now I'll take her to one side point it out to her if I think she's behaving unresonably, she may not like it but at least makes her more aware of of what shes doing, it seems to be helping and shes calmed down a lot  thankfully!

  6. instead of diagnosing your friend I think the problem may lay with you cause you may be co-dependant on people that are abusive, so I would take a look at your relationship with this snob first and decide if you want take the abuse.or may be you can build in more confidence and tell her how obnoxious she is and give her an ultimatum.

  7. narcissistic
