I guess my Ferret had fleas before we got him. I know of dog and cat flea drops.. and I really am new to having a ferret.. is there specialized ferret flea drops, or can you use regular stuff?

  1. My vet has always given Revolution to my dad's ferrets for fleas. It's fantastic you can also use it on rabbits and rats it prevents mites.

  2. Um if u go to petco and go in the ferret/bunny area there is all u could think of about ferrets but be careful , u might have to ask a employee.

  3. Frontline, Frontline Plus, Frontline Spray, Advantage, and Revolution are all safe to use on a ferret.  Here's a link to a forum message with a little more info on it (it also has info on for ticks and heartworms): http://forum.ferret.com/tm.asp?m=19175 . I've used the Frontline Spray on my ferrets when I noticed fleas on them. It worked and it caused no harm to them. I think Revolution is the best though, because it's also a dewormer, prevents heartworms, and kills ticks and ear mites. Also, everytime I change their bedding, I spray a light coating of Marshall's Flea and Tick spray on the clean bedding as a preventative. Marshall's also sells a Flea and Tick shampoo. I don't think either works well when it comes to getting rid of fleas, but I do like using the spray as a preventative and it does seem to work (mine haven't had fleas for at least a year now).

  4. advantage for kittens or frontline for kittens work best.

Do not use powders. They have a very sensitive respiratory system and they can inhale the powder.

  5. i use kitten flea powder on my rabbit, so i am sure u can use that.
