Is there a specific name for a police radio? in particular, for LAPD?

I'm trying to transcribe an audio. Sounds like he's saying "astro radio" but I'm not positive. Thanks!

  1. We use Astros and Motorola is the maker of the radios.  


  2. Motorola is a manufacturer of radios. "Astro" is the name of one of their product lines.  

  3. in the NYPD they are called Saber radios.
