Is there a spray paint that looks like its real metal?

i've been asked to make a mask that looks metallic, but am skeptical about making it out of metal. i was wondering if there is a spray paint that kind of looks like silver?

  1. There is no true metal/ chrome spay paint, unfortunately they all look like metal/ silver paint, although some look OK(ish).

    I have made a  realistic 'metal' by painting a cast piece of plaster (but I think most things would work), with 'Zeebo', which is a 'fire grate paint', then using ground graphite,(from a graphite stick, via a pencil sharpener), and black boot polish. Rubbing it hard gives a good metallic sheen,not unlike shiny cast steel/ iron.

    There is  a 'metal cote' paint by Humbrol, which, when dry can be polished and looks like real metal.

    I've seen them at many local craft stores, Walmart, Home Depot...they should be easy to find.
