  1. winning at slots is random chance.

  2. good grip

  3. Slot machines are set to pay out a certain amount.  There is no way to strategically play on that unless you have the payout statistics and know what amount the machine is meant to payout.  Slot machines are generally just dumb luck when you win and just another way to spend a little money for entertainment otherwise.

  4. yes, mostly in machine selection. a "hot" machine is generally more likely to continue paying off than a "cold" machine suddenly "owing" a jackpot to whoever's been playing it.

this doesn't mean a hot machine can't go cold, or a cold machine can't pay off, but just in general.

finding a "hot" machine takes some skill. my mother can do it in under 5 test rolls, i usually take 12 or more. however, one thing you can do is be friendly to other players. when they leave, they will often tip off other players about which machines are hot.

  5. Come on man there really can't be a stratigic method in playing a machine as there is in playing holdem. Even if you are talking playing online there still is a person controlling each avitar.

  6. There is a stratagy for everything it's just that 90% of the Casino's income come from slots.  This makes it almost impossible too win at least you have only one chance in ten of winning.

  7. I know a good site where there are many articles related to slot machine strategies.

Check take1look.net in the articles section.

Hope you will find what you are looking for!

    Cheers!

  8. YES, BUT ONLY FOR WINNERS THAT KNOW WHAT MACHINES TO PLAY AND HOW.

  9. The best way to play woudl be to minimise the house edge, you can do that by playing higher denomination coins and playing all of the betting lines.

after that, the only hypothetical way to gain an edge on a slot machine is to calulate the size of the progressive jackpot required to push the return rate to 100% on a particular machine, then only play machines of that type with progressive jackpots higher than the amount you calculated.  This would give you a measurable but likely small edge over the game.

Unfortunately i do not know how to go about that nor have i ever had an interest in trying it. It would work though if you knew the exhisting return rate and some other information relevant to a machine.
