Question:

Is there a structure of the brain that coordinates all of the structures of the brain?

I'm kind of thinking it would be the thalamus, but it would be a pretty weak hypothesis.

  1. It's not a bad generalization, actually.

    When you get right down to it, everything is interactive and most of the structures have some level of feedback or influence on most of the others.  But if I was going to pick one coordination station structure, it would be the thalamus.  It receives information from the most other structures and sends out signals in return.
