Is there a substitute for light silicone oil for airsoft?

i was just wondering cause i dont want to have to go out and get it, i was wondering if there is any other substitute i can use rather than buying light silicone oil. would house hold oil work for a gas airsoft gun?

  1. DO NOT use household oil on your guns internals.  Most oil contains petroleum products which will damage the rubber hop-up wheel and possibly disolve any plastics it comes in contact with.

    Make sure you only use 100% Silicone oil that does not contain any petroleum products.  keeping your gun lubed will extend it's life, increase overall FPS and reduce jams.  We recommende lubricating them every 4000-5000 rounds.


  2. No the only oil that can be used in any airsoft gun is 100% silicone oil. if you dont feel like ordering online. it can be found at many stores just ask around. MAKE SURE IT IS 100% SILICONE, NOTHING LESS
