  1. YES!  If you don't show when scheduled you can and will be classified as AWOL.


  2. If a reservist misses a drill period, he/she is listed as being unauthorized absent.  After missing nine drill periods (four and a half days) in one year, the reservist in administratively separated.

  3. Yes. If you fail to report to the yearly 2-week drill you can be considered AWOL. The same goes for the once a month drill.

  4. Yes there is, if you fail to show up for scheduled drills you are indeed classified as AWOL

    the DIFFERENCE is

    in the reserves they simply process you out of the military

    in active duty they will court martial you and you can go to prison

  5. yes,,,if you fail to show for drill without calling or informing them of a hardship as to why you will not be there. you are AWOL.  and if you fail to report for an activation you are in big doodoo.   you can be dishonorably discharged and even more severe charges can be filed
