  1. I KNOW THERE IS A GREEN AND A BLUE COULOURED GOLDFISH BUT THERE IS ALSO A TYPE CALLED A BLUEFISH WICH YOU WILL SEE IS A MAIN CHARACTER IN THE MOIVIE FINDING NEMO  AND THERE IS A FISH CALLED A BLUEGILL

  2. I have seen a grayish blue goldfish but never like a bright blue, or dark blue.

You can find many of these as feeder fish.

  3. nope

  4. Gold fish are usually orange. And it also depends on the type of goldfish. Cause I have seen white and black spotted goldfish. some are all black. If you want colorfull fish u should look into tropical fish. But don't ever put these two types of fish together because the golfish develop neumonia and die. So you would have to wash ou the tank with soap.

  5. Yes... I found some at Walmart.

  6. Those types are called fancy goldfish.

See more grey than blue. The green is in wild goldfish which are not goldfish at all, but another type of carp goldfish where bred from.

  11. I think that website is referring to hints of color that aren't really visible to the untrained eye.  Basically, they're full of it.

But if you do want to see some interesting goldfish, check out the koi varieties.  There are some awesomely colored koi out there.  Here are some neat pictures:

The color changing kumonryu, which is differnent colors depending on the season:

Those are two pictures of the same fish, believe it or not.  Read more here: http://www.koisale.com/koi_kawarimono.ht...

The midorigoi, which is the most "green" of all koi (midori means green in Japanese):

The shusui koi, which is kind of interesting looking:

It's kind of interesting all of the color varieties you can find in goldfish, but I'm afraid none of them are the true "blue" and "green" that you want.  Maybe if you're hunting for colorful fish, you should look at some tropical fish, like betta.

  12. Not in the way that you think.

"Green" coloration is actually a type of yellow/black coloration. It is called "green" in goldfish circles, but it isn't really green.

"Blue" is actually black skin coloration on a fish with nacreous scales. It is not a real blue, but more of a gray color that appears blue because the scales are translucent. This Shubunkin has "blue" coloration - http://www.exoticgoldfish.net/breeds-shu... -

Goldfish don't have a gene that allows for true blue or green pigment. btw - Koi and goldfish are not only a separate species, but also a separate genus...they are completely different fish. But green and blue pigment don't exist in Koi strains either.

  13. No there isn't any blue or green or even pink for that matter you know how gold fish are kind of a orangish color well thats why they are called GOLDfish. If you want a colorful fish I suggest you purchase a bata fish they come in all different colors.
