For example, can a member edit or delete a file they have posted? Can another member edit it? Can a moderator edit it?

  1. Well, there is a summary of which moderator privileges each owner and moderator have, although it's only visible to other owners and moderators.  Click on Members on the left-hand side of the Group's web page.  Then click on Moderators near the upper-left-hand corner of the member list.  Then, for each owner/moderator you want to view these privileges for, click on the Edit Membership link (pencil icon) under that owner/moderator's login name.  At the bottom of the resulting page is a Moderator Privileges section that summarizes which moderator privileges this owner/moderator has (a green circle or checked box means he/she has this privilege, a red circle or unchecked box means he/she doesn't have this prviliege).

Other than that, the best you can get is to browse the Yahoo Groups Help files at http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/groups/... .

Finally, to answer your examples, a member can edit or delete a file they have added to the Files section.  And a moderator can edit or delete any file added to the Files section.  But when one member adds a file to the Files section, none of the other ordinary members can either edit or delete it.
