I live in Springtown but am always in Fort Worth (TX). I am majoring in Child Development and taking a class called Children with Special Needs. I have an extra credit assignment where I would need to go to a parent support group who have children with special needs. Does anyone know if there are any meetings like that locally? I'm in fort worth texas. thanks!

  1. Does your school district have a Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SPEDPAC)?  They may be able to assist you.  or contact  the ARC of Tarrant Co, maybe they run support groups or know of some.

I just looked up "Fort Worth Tx Special Ed support groups" on the internet, the second choice was a web site called Meetup.com a site especially designed to let people know about all types of groups that are meeting.  If you have a preference as to the type of support group that you would like to attend (aspergers, autism, MR, etc) you can type it in and groups will show up.  I found an aspies group meeting in Fort Worth.  Good luck to you!
