It's just how it sounds. What is the term for someone dreaming about some physical object and waking up with it in their hands and they never had it before of course!

  1. Yes, it's called imagination.

  2. Maybe you're sleepwalking. Had you never SEEN this object before? What was it? That's really weird. Are you sure no one came into your room and put it there? What was your dream about ? Are you sure it was connected to your dream?

  3. Manifesting is a term often used in New Thought and New Age circles to refer to the belief that one can by force of will, desire, and focused energy, make something come true on the physical level. For example, the Indian guru Sathya Sai Baba is famous for allegedly manifesting objects out of thin air. See also: Thoughtform and Law of Attraction.

  4. Of course, they always end up pulling Freddy Krueger out of the dream in order to defeat him in those movies.

The term is somnambulance aka sleep walking. This occurs when the bodies motor skills are not shut off and the body acts out the dream.

In this case, the person does not know they have acted out thier dream, they only know they had a dream that they got up and grabbed a diet coke for example. When they wake up, they have the diet coke in thier hands.

You will not get validation for spontaneous generation of objects in the science and math section. But most likely somnambulance is what the person is experiencing.

  5. manifestation?

  6. Um.. I never had that happen to me before.. but... I wonder if it really can happen??

  7. If you created it the term would be manifestation. If you transported it to you (by unknown means) the term is an apport (although this is highly controversial and many early psychics were caught hiding objects that suddenly appeared (an apport). (link below).

If the object arrived on it's own (natural means) but in a seemingly timely and related manner then this could be an example of Synchronicity that Carl Jung suggested,

  8. a dream come true, lol, umm...check out a site specializing in dreams, that wont be easy to find.

  9. Yes, it's called cartoons.

Dreaming about something doesn't give it a physical presence.  In other words, the only place it's real is in your imagination.

If it's next to you when you wake it's more likely that you dreamed of something you had next to you than you have something next to you about which you dreamed.

  10. I agree with those who say manifestation, and since I can lucid dream, I now need to dream a million bucks cash and figure out how to bring it back with me. That would rock.
