I'm wondering if there is a term that means "the end of the millennium" the same way "Fin de siècle" means "the end of a century." Is there such a term? If not, I think there should be. The closest thing I can think of is Y2K - which kind of sums up the whole zeitgeist from, I guess, sometime in the 1980's until 9/11, and might be more appropriate choice if I was talking about American/British intellectual history right around 2000. I would appreciate any help you can offer.
