Is there a term to describe people who do not want to date or get involved in a relationship because they want to focus on work. Also, is there philosophy on this issue. Like, is there information or a support group of these types of people.

If you're their friend, the word is often "loner" or "focussed".

If you're that person, the word is often "self-fulfilled"

    you talk like this is something abnormal? ---- why would a

   hardworking individual that isn't ready for relationships or

   intertwining themself into the dating scene need a support group

   for God's sake?

  Get a clue:  just because people want to work instead of date

  don't peg that as being a problem......
