or a weekend. So like you buy the ticket and can go to london, then get a train to cardiff, or wherever so you dont have to get individual tickets.

Yes, there are such tickets called Rover tickets. The only one currently available  is an All Line Rover which lasts for 7 days and costs £375, adult standard class. This is on the assumption that you live in the UK. if you are outside and want to travel here, then there are various promotions available which can only be purchased outside the country.
