Hi everybody ,

I was wondering if when your a regional pilot you have to retire after 8 years? Or you can stay untill the legal retirment age, 65.

  1. Age 65 rule.

Just to clarify for you, there is no regulatory difference at all between a regional airline and a major airline.  All airlines big and small must adhere to the exact same rules.

  2. no.

65 is the age you HAVE to retire......that's any Airline pilot.

You can "retire" at any age but you may not get the full benefits.
