Is there a time limit on foreign (FRENCH) cheques?

Hi all

I received a French cheque in the post yesterday that I've been waiting for since July last year (2007) [ Had actually forgotten about it]. Unfortunately, it's dated July 2007 so it must have got stuck in the system somewhere!

Can I still cash it, even though it's over a year old?

Thanks in advance!

Can I still try to cash it?
