My cousin's coming to the U.K. to live I was just wondering if he can use his italian driving license without having to change it to a U.K. one

  1. I couldn't say for sure, as I'm an American, however, my father makes frequent trips to Germany on business and I believe he uses his American driver's license to drive there.

To be safe, check out the website for the department (or ministry maybe?) of your government responsible for the licenses.  If he's coming to live for an extended time though he probably needs one for the UK whether or not his Italian one is good in the short run

  2. According to the DVLA website, anybody holding a valid driver's license issued in an EU country can drive in the UK, provided that they follow the local traffic rules. Please check my source.
