  1. Sharks are more likely to be near shore at night, and thus shark attacks for a single swimmer is more likely from dusk til dawn.  I have heard that right around sunset or sunrise is the worst time, but apparently it's all night.

    The Univ of Fl article below mentions that most attacks actually happen during the day, but that's because very few people go in the water after dark.

    The one below it says to definitely not go in around sunset or sunrise.
