  1. To remove wax build-up in ears:  take warm soapy water and using a bulb syringe, gently squirt the warm, soapy water into the ear canal.  Do not point the tip towards the eardrum, just inside the ear canal wall.  Use about 1 cup of this solution.  I was taught to use this in the doctor's office years ago, but this doesn't seem to be used much anymore.  The warmth melts the wax, while the soapy water gently flushes it out.  Cheap and it works well and everyone has the ingredients.

To make an ear oil, just use olive oil.  The "sweet oil" found in pharmacies for ears is actually olive oil.  Gently warm the oil in a small container in a pot of hot water, not boiling.  Do not microwave.  Using a dropper, place 10 drops into the ear, stuff with a small amout of cotton ball, and go to sleep.  The ear wax will be loosened up by morning.  This is also great if used with the ear wash solution as it helps prevent the wax buildup.  You can add about 2 drops of Tea Tree Oil to 4 oz of olive oil if you want.  Garlic Oil capsules or Vitamin E oil capsules also work.  (use 1 capsule to 4 oz of olive oil).

Warm cloth compresses placed over the ear helps to relive pain.

If you have a cold and stuffy nose with the ear ache, you need to drink more water, orange juice and chicken broth (don't get the sodium-free stuff as you need the salt right now) in large quatities will help break up the congestion that causes an internal earache.

Ear candling works as a preventative.  Don't use Ear Candles if you already have an ear ache as it makes the pain worse.

  2. Wally's Ear Oil has tea tree in it. Works great! Here's a link to read about it but most health food stores have it: http://www.wallysnatural.com/ear_oils.ht...

  3. Try ear oil relief, natural herbal formula makes it easy to cleanse and comfort the delicate tissues of the ear canal.  NOW® Ear Oil Relief contains a gentle collection of Garlic, Mullein, Calendula, St. John's Wort, Tea Tree Oil, Vitamin E Oil and Olive Oil
