I hear it pass passes through a church in the town of "Castellón de la Plana", Spain. - Looked on the net but didn't seem to find anything?

Anyone been there or know of such a place? I'm visiting spain in Sept and would like to stand on the line where the day starts!

  1. Somebody asked a similar question about a week ago.  Said something about a church that is noted for standing RIGHT on the PM.  In Castellón de al Plana.

Try looking at the descriptions of the specific churches.

And, while zafir is right about the date line, I think it would still be cool to stand on the Prime Meridian, just like it's cool to stand on the Equator, or the Four Corners monument Or the Continental Divide.  Those things are all marked.  I'm sure you could find something that marks this, too.

Hey!  try emailing Barcelonaman through his website...he probably knows!

  2. The Prime Meridian passes through any number of places in England, France and Spain before going through Africa, but I doubt if it's noted anywhere.

I always thought the day began on the International Date Line in the Pacific, and that the Prime or Greenwich Meridian signifies 12noon.  But then I could be wrong.
