  1. As Famous notes, Amtrak offers regular service between the two cities.

    If you're on an expense account, take the Acela Express, which gets you to Stamford in about 2 3/4 hours, and costs about $102.

    If you're paying out of your own pocket, take the regional service train, which takes about 3 1/4 hours, and costs about $75.

  2. Only expensive Amtrak is option.

    You may take Amtrak to New Rochelle Union/State St and transfer to MTA Metro-North to Stamford.

    You may also take other long-distance bus from Boston to Stamford.
