  1. dont know about train service , but you could always get the bus up to bradford and get a link to manchester , heres the details for the bus :

  2. No

Take the tube to Euston (it's not direct - you will need to change)

    Euston to Manchester Piccadilly

    Piccadilly to Manchester

    OR

    you could fly!

  3. No you have to catch a train from Heathrow, to Watford Junction, where you change for a train that is going to Manchester Piccadilly. At Manchester Piccadilly you change again for a train to Manchester Airtport. (That is the quickest way) to go via this route you need to be on a train from Heathrow at 19:30 as the next fast one leaves at 20:30.

The slow route is catching the Piccadilly line to Leicester Square and then catching the Northern Line to Euston where you then catch the 20: 30 train to Manchester Piccadilly  where you then have to get the train to the airport and arrive at 0:34!

  4. You could get the Rail-Air Express coach to Reading and follow this, courtesy of Nationalrail.co.uk

    Leg 1 of 2

    Depart: 20:10  Reading (RDG)

    Arrive: 00:04  Manchester Piccadilly (MAN)

    Travel By: Train

    Retail Service ID: VT223100

Train Company: Virgin Trains service from Reading to Manchester Piccadilly

    Duration: 3:54

    Leg 2 of 2

    Depart: 00:17  Manchester Piccadilly (MAN)

    Arrive: 00:34  Manchester Airport (MIA)

    Travel By: Train

    Retail Service ID: TP816800

Train Company: Transpennine Express service from Manchester Piccadilly to Manchester Airport

    Duration: 0:17

    Total Journey Duration: 4:24

  5. No direct train and 7PM is a bit late to be starting a long journey on a Sunday.  Piccadilly Line from Heathrow to King's Cross - Victoria Line (one stop) to Euston - train to Manchester from Euston.  If you leave Heathrow 7 sharp, your ETA at Euston is 8:15 PM

  6. I don't think theres a direct train connection, but you should be able to get there if you dont mind changing trains At Euston or Watford, then at Crewe or Wilmslow

best thing to do is to look in thetrainline.com

  7. no, you would have to travel by tube from London Heathrow to London Euston, then get a mainline train from London Euston to Manchester Piccadilly, then a train from Manchester piccadilly to Manchester Airport. Journey time approx 4 hours

  8. Yes its run by the "Direct but obscure routes r us" company.

They also run a high speed hovercraft link between the Thames barrier and Sark in the Channel islands and a coach service between South Georgia and Dublin City Centre.

There were plans for a Hot air Balloon link between Beunos Aires Bus station and Starbuck's Coffee shop in Staines city centre but the demand just wasnt there so it was cancelled.

  9. NO, Heathrow Express is a shuttle to Paddington making it not useless but not much good even to reach Reading you would have to travel to Paddington and back.

You need to travel by Underground to Euston (Piccadilly line to Kings Cross then Victoria or Northern to Euston) then by Virgin with departures at 2035 and 2150 to Manchester Piccadilly and forward by local train is still running or taxi. On the later departure from Euston you have almost 2 hours to wait.

Of course you can always get the Rail Air link to Reading but going across country on a Sunday night is never a good idea.

Check out National rail Enquires with the date you are travelling and it should indicate any engineering works on the routes.

  10. no, but there is a great air connection from terminal one

  11. no there isn't.It would probably be cheaper for you to fly because train fares are very expensive. Also you would get from A to B with mimimal changing.
