  5. Not directly. New York to Chicago's Union Station and then take the Southwest Chief to Los Angeles then the San Diegan on down to SD,

  6. There is no direct service between these cities, but you can get a train from New York to (usually) Chicago, then another to Los Angeles, and finally on to San Diego.

    Single fare is about $230.
