Is there a trick for getting apart 2 glasses that are stuck?

the glasses have ridges from top to bottom and are stuck together.

  1. Put cold water inside the inside glass and immerse the outside glass in a bowl or pot of hot water, pulling the two apart.   This will expand the outer and contract the inner.  

      If it doesn't work, add ice cubes to the inside.  Be careful if you take the next logical step which is using boiling water as the shock can crack the glass.

      DO NOT push the pair of glasses down into the hot water holding the inner one because the pair will float and be pushed up into each other - hold the outer glass and pull on the inner to separate them.

      If they fail to separate lay them on their side on a towel or something so the inner does not fall further into the outer.


  2. put them in the freezer for afew minutes.

  3. I usually run water on them and gently twist them in different directions.. if that doesn't work try doing it under water or leaving them submerged for a few hours..
