  1. no real trick you just need to glide and not try to walk

  2. i'm an accelerated figure sk8er, so i know a bit about sk8ing. u should try to keep ur back straight and don't lean on ur toepick, which is the zigzag part on ur blade. stay on the ball of ur foot. good luck!

  3. Use your arms for balance, try to "march" on the ice and then glide to help you learn how to skate, and just do your best skating takes a lot of practice. Hope you have fun!

  4. yeah, make sure you have skates that are sharpened well and fit properly. If you don't have the right skates, you will probably spend more time sitting on the ice than skating on it.

Make sure your skates fit snugly (no movement inside the boot or you will get blisters really fast) but still allow you to bend your knees easily and don't curl your toes up. also hold them upside down and look at the blades. You should see two distinct edges to the blade, like a shallow U. If they are flat or nearly flat, they will not grip the ice and you will be sliding all over the place.

Once you get on the ice, go slowly at first until you get the feel of it, make sure you keep your knees slightly bent (don't lock them), and just push off gently with one foot at a time.

    Good luck and have fun!

  5. No trick, just have fun. If youre boyfreind knows how to skate, just have him drag you along.

And if you feel like youre falling, try to fall on your azz. If you try falling on your hands, you could break your wrists or fingers or something along those lines. A bruise on the butt will hurt a little but not as much as a broken bone.

  6. yeah, don't fall
