  1. Michael basically has said it all here. I too am doubtful that anyone will touch you. I am personally concerned about the training that Swift is doing these days. I have seen so many wrecked Swift trucks as of late it is scary. I have a lot of miles that are clean and that is also why one can expect better wages etc. when we get that time in and remain clean. Good luck and no matter what you drive plz be careful. I am out there on the road too!

  2. I talked with one of my customers that is a trucker and it will sound bad but you are out of luck until this passes, you are to much of a liability.

  3. Being a newly licensed driver, and already having a couple accidents on your record, it will be difficult to get another job.  Being fired doesn't help.  Especially from such a large company as Swift, that even does their own training.  Companies will be looking at the pros and cons of the costs of insuring you, and their needs to fill a 'seat'.  Try some of the smaller companies in your area.  They might be willing to give you a break, but don't hold your breath.

  4. your best bet is to find a small local company, maybe route delivery, or get out of trucking altogether...2 accidents in the first 6 months is more than most comanies will risk...the odds say you're more likely to have another, more serious accident, sooner rather than later...i've been in the industry for over 10 years and have seen it time and time again...and have had to terminate drivers in the same circumstance.  perhaps you need to find another line of work...i know it sounds 'cold'. but driving a tractor-trailer is not for everyone; many people who try it find that they cannot do it very well

  5. No insurance company will cover you. I suggest that you find employment in another field.

  6. Probably some private owner trucks with local and short route deliveries (for example in NC that might be furniture delivery). Perhaps a local delivery route or as a second driver with an experienced trucker. You are going to have to establish a decent driving reputation for a good year before someone gambles on you with their nice new rig. Good luck.

  7. I would never say never, but I would say it is very unlikely.  I often interview and hire drivers for my company and we do often hire young drivers but if you have had an accident then no, unless I am given a great reason as to why the accidents happened, and I believe that you have learned from them, but the company training would be much longer.

I do not know why the accidents happened but you really should ask yourself if you feel you are a safe driver, because if the answer is not then you should find something else to do because a job is not worth your life or someone Else's.
