Is there a true John McCain?

Does he support the draft, or not? Will he back campaign finance reform, or the big lobbies supporting him now? Who is he? Anyone? Or will his ticket be just another cypher for Big Oil like Bush/Cheney?

Yup, the true John McCain was a logical, centrist, born leader who had lots of support from this liberal back in the 80s and 90s.

Now he's gone all bat-sh*t crazy pandering to the conservative base and I think he's completely lost his mind.

Yes, but he's had his brain removed by the Bush/Cheney 2004 election team.  He's just basically parroting what they tell him to say now in order to get elected.  He has changed stance on almost every issue that has been put to him.  He is now, as you said, a cypher for big oil.  It's pretty sad to see that because I used to admire him.  Now I think he's a morally bankrupt shill.

You have to ask his wife.  He said it a few months ago, but no one was paying any attention.  He says he does not know anything about his business, his wife manages EVERYTHING.  I am not sure why everyone wanted to act suprised when he said he did not know how many houses he has, he does not.  His wife knows the answer though.  

If McCain is elected, Mrs. McCain will be running our country, too bad though we really do not know where she stands on any issue.
