If you have a stomach virus, is there a drug out there that can help you stop vomiting and feeling nauseous?

If there is, what are they called? Are any of them pills, rather than liquid? (Or at least tasteless liquid?)

  1. There are a couple of anti-emetics out there:

    Zofran, Antivert, Reglan, etc...

However, it may help to vomit out what's causing the symptoms.

Make sure to drink plenty of fluids (Gatorade!) and eat (bland, simple foods, like toast, etc...) when you can.

    Hope I helped.

  2. when i was in hosiptol the gave me some anti sickness tablets, not sure what the name is, but the do exist

try travel sickness tablets they help a lot also

  3. I know this may be the least helpful but I've been told something with peppermint or mint helps. You want to stay away from any medicines with acids in them and read the label. It makes your stomach more upset and eventually you feel more sick. My aunt is an LPN and saw your question and said Milanta, Pepto Bismal is the best thing or a pill for motion sickness depending if this is one of the causes. She said that the mint is coating your stomach lining and causing the upsettings of your stomach to cease. She said to buy the cool mint in Milanta and you will feel a difference. Hope this helped.

  4. The only thing they have over the counter is Emetrol. It really helps. It is a dark cherry syrup. Very sweet, but palable.

Now if you go to the ER or doctor they can give you a shot or a suppository.
