Veggie pizza no crust

Ingredients

1 portabella mushroom, cap

1/4 cup sliced bell pepper (green,yellow whatever you like)

2 tablespoons marinara sauce (I used pasta sauce)

1 tablespoon parmesan cheese, grated (Kraft-light is good)

1/4 cup onion, sliced

Directions

1Place the mushroom cap upside down on a cookie sheet. Spread the marinara sauce over the mushroom, and top with the remaining ingredients - just like a normal pizza.

2Bake in the oven at 350°F until the cheese melts and the ‘pizza’ is warmed through.

  I use pizza sauce, add chopped up vegetables .. sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top & bake as you would a reg. pizza. Until the crust is done & the cheese is melted.

Oh yeah. You don't have to put cream cheese on a vegetable pizza. Just make pizza like you usually do, just don't add the cheese. Take your dough, top with tomato sauce, add raw or cooked vegetables and bake. Simple and easy. I hope this helps you out. Happy cooking!

Veggie Pizza Recipe

1 prepared pizza crust, or a boboli crust

1 jar pizza sauce

8 ounces soy mozzarella

The following can be any veggies of choice. We use Frozen chopped broccoli, Frozen chopped spinach, Canned mushrooms, Chopped onion, Roasted garlic

Bake at 350°F until it is browned and the cheese melts. We like to top it with thin slices of avacado or guacamole. Sometimes we omit the pizza sauce and just have a white pizza. It is also good to use tomatoe sauce with a package of Taco seasoning and make a mexican pizza with a soya cheddar and veggie burger topping, bake the same then top with lettuce tomatoes, and whatnot, then sour cream and guacamole.

I've never used cream cheese in any pizza, except a dessert fruit pizza.   I make a garlic white cream sauce and spread it over the crust;  slices of fresh buffalo mozzarella;  thin layer of fresh spinach leaves;  cut-up artichoke hearts and sun-roasted peppers; pitted kalamata olives;  top with feta cheese and bake.......
