Is there a video series on how to modify electronics?

I want to make some cool rthings like my own arcade and my own dvr but I don't know anything on how to do that. plus I get bored with reading.

The best information will be on web pages that you will need to read. The Videos leave a lot out. Print and read, I get tired too of reading from my screen but found If I print it out and read about 5min at a time it works for me.
