Is there a visa that allows foreign nationals to retire in the U.S. if they have sufficient income?

I am an American retired in Mexico and I know many countries allow Americans to obtain visas to reside in their country if the retiree meets income standards. What if a foreign citizen, wants to retire in the U.S.? I have not been able to locate any info on this. Thanks.

  1. Although you can prove you wont be a burden on society with your income.

    I dnt think its possible to reside in the US permanently for retirement reasons.
