  1. see you have to be sure of the kind of numnber you have-spherical or cylindrical.with a high cylindrical power like 3.5 that i have my opthalmologist told me that you do not find lenses easily .Also they are not advisable even if you do manage to find them.

  2. Actually looked that up today, because mine are a lot worse than yours.  1800contacts website has a -11 or -12 so I say you and I have a way to go before we're s.o.l.

    no worries

  3. -1500 is max

  4. Eyes change over time. At about 40+ years old, the lens in your eye becomes less "flexible", so you can't s***w your eyes up to see that thing that's just out of focus. It's called presbyopia = "old eye".  This means that instead of normal contacts, over 40s tend to need multifocals or something called monovision correction, which takes getting used to.

Basically, there are lenses for all ages, it depends if they still do the job for you in terms of vision, comfort and convenience (usually when people stop wearing contacts it's their decision, not because of medical advice or lack of choice of lenses).

If your prescription is changing,  daysoft have the widest power range in daily disposable lenses, +8.00 to -12.50, so there's a long way to go before you can't wear them.  But the most important thing is to see the optician if you are worried about any aspect of the health of your eyes.

  5. Contacts actually are available up to a - 20.00...although not in disposables in those very high powers over 12.00

Hopefully you will never need anything close to that.
