I heard that it could have been done in some provinces in the past so that you can get the full license of their province by surrendering your G2.

If so can you tell me which province? Please list official sources if possible.

Thanks

  1. My daughter got her licence in BC, where there is a graduated licencing system.  She needed an 'N' on the car, and in order to get rid of the 'N' and obtain a Class 5 she had to take a second road test.  But she moved to Alberta, where there was no graduated licensing in place, and when she changed over her licence she got a Class 5 in Alberta.  So no second road test for her.

  2. The short answer is NO.

In order to qualify for a driver's licence, you have to LIVE in THAT Province.

Just follow  the program, don't try to get around the laws.
