Is there a way an average Joe has a way pitch a movie or TV idea to producers?

I'm looking for possibly a website related to hollywood producer & scriptwriter information. If you know of any "how to get in the biz" links, that'd be good too.

I'm not looking to get famous, im not looking to get into movies... I'm asking, very specifically, if someone with a brilliant idea for a movie, what is the next step for that person? where does that idea go from here?

You would probally have to fly to hollywood unless you knew a friend with a connection to those guys. Although you could start low and suggest it to all of your friends make a web page on it, post the idea on youtube, or even make your own version and mail it in, you could also mail in the idea and the script. Just look up the adress on the internet.
