  1. try using traditional mail, not the improved. I have no such ads with traditional

  2. Substitute the exact name of your group for the x*x:

    http://groups.yahoo.com/group/x*x/join

Select Traditional instead of Full Featured - and save the change!

    Hope that helps!

  3. No, they pay for our free service..

  4. Unfortunately, the ads are how Yahoo makes money and allow the Groups to be free so you can't remove the advertising.  Even if you have a premium Yahoo email account the Group emails will carry an ad.  If you get ads that are not appropriate for your Group then you can fill out an online form (search for Remove Problem Ad at the Help page) and notify Yahoo so they can review it and possibly remove it.  You will then have another ad that hopefully would fit better with your Group.

  5. Only one way you need to upgrade to yahoo mail plus

  6. The only way to get rid of that is to change your personal group email delivery to Individual Emails.  Messages will be delivered one at a time to your email inbox and will not contain all of that stuff you are seeing on the right side of your current group emails. This is how to do that:

    Sign in to your group.

Toward the top of the screen, click on Edit Membership.

Scroll down to Step 2. Message Delivery.

Click one time in the blank circle in front of Individual Emails

Click on Save Changes located at bottom of page.
