Is there a way for people not to be racist against a specific race based on their legal status?

Question

There are over 12 million Mexicans (Mexican-born or of Mexican decent) living in the United Sates and Half of them are illegal, but why do people treat them all like they are illegal unless they are in a military uniform? Automatically if you look Mexican u must be illegal? Must we be branded like the Jewish people with a star on their arm? Must we carry or birth certificate, visa, or green card around for people not to look at us like we don't belong here????

Illegal criminal aliens from over 180 countries were deported last year (from nearly every country on Earth).

This blows your "racist" claim out of the water, doesn't it?

"Mexicans" are PART of a race...as are Hispanics and Latinos. Hispanics and latinos are not a race either.

There are only 3 races...and the above is not one of them.

It is sad that people stero-type based on nationality. I am agains illegal immigration in the same sense as I would any criminal act. I am not racist at all but feel that anyone from another country (no matter where) should seek a legal citizenship in our country. However, I do feel that if you move to this country you should make every effort to speak the language.

No. When SOME people have prejudices there is no way they can change. Or is very difficult. They have that hate inside them and regardless of the things that you told them, they are stubborn. That will be a waste of time because they don't want to listen to reasoning, they are only looking for people who think like them  who can applaud their racist comments about immigrants

I just hate when people thinks that illegal comes here and use up the welfare. No it's not possible to get the welfare if you don't have USA citizen or green card.

And yes why people are so angry with mexicans, they are working here. Even if they don't contribute to the Tax departments, they still contribute to the country by doing small jobs here and there.

Believe me or not, most americans are also depending on the welfare, just because they are too lazy to work.

I personally do not look at Latinos en masse as illegal, until I KNOW they are.

Mexican is not a race.  If you speak English, don't wear gang colors, don't live in a makeshift campsite village and avoid hanging out at the day laborer site--chances are no one will think you are an illegal alien.

While you suggest a number of illegal aliens in this country, and make that predominately Mexican Nationals, the fact is, you could not support that with any kind of research at all.  

According to the Federal Government, and their number does not include the illegal aliens using fake I.D.s, there are 12 million illegal aliens in this country with a vast preponderance from Mexico.  Lending institutions who needed current and real information on the issue flatly stated there are over 20 million illegal aliens, and some suggested there are 30 million if you count the fake I.D.'s.  In fact, and it is a fact, there are more illegal aliens in this country from Mexico than there are citizens who are Mexican American.

Illegal aliens are held in great contempt because they are using the welfare system to the point of exhaustion.  Countless hospitals have been closed, and we have been thugged with a huge number of illegal voting in our election and specifically paying themselves a great deal of money.

We have a problem with Mexican Americans being identified as Mexican Nationals.  Lets face it.. they are not significant different in their profiles.

But of all the groups in this country that will profit when the illegal aliens are gone... when the law is enforced.. the Mexican Americans will profit the most.  There will be sacrifices from everyone with this policy of enforcing the law.  We need to see it through and get the job done.

It's just like anything else.  A few bad apples spoil the bunch.  Not that it's a great comparison, but awhile back truckers  were looked down upon because of the acts of a few.  Not fair, but it's  life.

I think when mexicans walk around rattling off in spanish, living in groups in a 2 bedroom, allowing their kids to run amok etc. they could easily be viewed as illegal. This is just how it is and it makes the legal ones look bad.
