Is there a way i can gain my regular skin tone back?

a while ago,i had like nice rough light complection skin,but after awhile my skin got a bit brown,is it true blacks cant get their orignial skin color back,or is there a cream i might have to buy and use?

this is kinda the same question i asked yesterday. i heard there was this kind of lotion or soap you can use to lighten your skin.
