  1. It is pretty unlikely. I know that jewelers sometimes fabricate platinum teeth and even grills, but usually they have to be fitted and put on by a dentist. It is probably a pretty pricey procedure too. Even if you had insurance they wouldn't cover it, and I would say for a platinum crown, you'd be looking around 1500.00 at least. Good luck!

  3. You can pay cash...any dentist will accept it. No, a dentist must prepare the tooth for a "cap" and take an impression of it to send to a dental laboratory.The lab makes the crown, or cap to fit over your tooth. By the way..your tooth will not be all Platinum....it will be white gold,plus some other metals mixed in to make it strong. Platinum would not hold up to chewing forces and would be crazy expensive.
