Is there a way i can text online to the virgin islands?

i just got back from the virgin islands and it didnt let me text since it was roaming. but one day while i was there i just randomly got like 10 texts from the past 3 days but it wouldnt let me send any.

Sure.  All you need to know is our area code (340; actually you'll need the whole number including the area code) and the wireless provider of the person you're sending the text to.  I found a site that'll let you send text messages for free:

Oh, I should mention that we only have a few wireless carriers here.  We have Sprint, Cingular/AT&T and I believe Virgin Mobile (I'm not to sure about Virgin Mobile though).
