We can opt for non disposable nappies ,and we are told not to flush sanitary ware but landfill is not green either, and burning seems out of the question how can we ladies be more enviromentally freindly?

  1. moon cups

    sponges

    washable pads

also worth keeping your blood and diluting with water then putting on your plants.

Have a friend who sells them all, if you want a contact in the Uk i can let you have her details.

Also WEN, Womens Environmental Network can give you info and suppliers.

  2. Mooncup! No need for towels or anything then!

    Info here :  http://www.salveo.co.uk/health/menstrual...

  3. As Sal suggested there is the mooncup, this is a rubber well cup that is inserted like a tampon and you empty then wash it out. There are a few brands like this.

Also you can get biodegradable tampons, liners and wipes. Plus there is a product called Sea pearls which is basically a sea sponge used as a tampon

    Check her for info:

  4. I would also like to thank everyone for their answers here, I didn't know there was a friendly way to take care of this.

  5. i have several friend who swear by their mooncups.

i use washable towels, they are much more comfy than horrid plasticky disposable ones. i cold rinse them before washing and use the water as plant food. the only drawback is drying them somewhere out of sight of visitors who might get a bit embarrassed, although my friends stride past them without a glance bless em..

  6. If the mooncup doesn't work for you you can also opt for non -disposable cloth pads. Wash and reuse.  You can buy them online or make them yourself!
