  1. pratice tthe basics 1st and trying getting on a team , AAU is the best !!!!! but if u need help call mj lol j/k go on youtube and find basketball videos

  2. practice at a local park

    join a team

    get an instructional DVD

  3. practice makes perfect!

  4. Play with your friends on a full court, with only 4 or 6 players. Just keep playing for hours everyday that's how i got good at it.

  5. there are specific ways to improve your aim and dribbling (backspin and what have you) but practice is key. get out on the court at least an 1/2 hour a day.

  6. go to basketball sports camps. =]

  7. You would have to practice everyday. Seriously hard practice and training.

  8. practice 24-7

  9. If you've never played in a league b4 it will be very hard, but not impossible seeing as football probably got u in pretty good shape. Practice a lot of dribbling and shooting drills. Run lots of suicides cuz I feel like thats all I do. Definitely practice with other people whenever you have a chance. Pick up games are a good way to get better in a game-like situation because if u practice by yourself and dont play with other people, most likely you wont do very well cuz it's necessary to learn to work with other people (cuz its obviously a team sport). Yeah so good luck and work hard.

  10. practice all the time and you will get better

  11. first get a good basketball and PRACTICE!!! if u have a friend  that plays basketball or someone u know that did play basketball.....then try to get some techniques from them

    hope i help!!!

  12. everyones going to say this... but just practice.

    play outside with some friends.

and just make sure that your in shape for tryouts.

most coaches will take you even if your not that good as long as you try as hard as you can and they think you have potential.

  13. practice!!! practice!!! practice!!!!

thats it... and why did you Quit football???

if you start a trend of quitting no matter the reason then you will always start something and never see it to the end...

so dont be a Quitter... finish what your start...

    cheers

  15. Well if basketball isn't your normal sport, then I would suggest practicing on your shot.  Like Big Time.  Practice shooting every day for hours on end.  A coach will never turn down a good shooter.  Also try and learn basic fundamentals and ball handling.  And, it depends on how tall you are, if you're tall work on boxing out and rebounding.  If you're a bit shorter, you should work on your quickness.  Try running sprints, and doing a lot of lay-ups.   And try scrimmaging with your friends!!  -Hope this helps.

  16. practice practice practice. also, play against ppl who are better than you so you can see where you need to improve.

  17. Of course, it's called dedication and practice.  I bet you've learned something like that from football.  Talk to your school's basketball coach, get involved with him and the team.  Once you're working with the team, you'll get a feel for what you're up against.  You can decide then whether you have the dedication to basketball and to the team, to be good enough to make tryouts.

  18. practice so hard that u bleed. in the end its worth it.

  19. practice.

  20. practice?
