Is there a way of telling what model year a tv is?

I would like to know if i'm looking at last years model or not

Somewhere on the back of every television made, there is a sticker that has the month and year that television was manufactured.

Check if there is a manufacturing date.

Otherwise you need to do some research on when that model came out first time.
