Is there a way or option in yahoo chess games to just watch or observe various chess matches soly as a guest?

I'd like to be able to observe various chess matches with out being listed in every chess room I visit, as though I were an eager opponent. Is this possible at yahoo chess; if it is not; I think it should be possible. Chess is the type of strategy game, where one can often enjoy watching as much as participate...

That's impossible. You have to log-in with your ID to watch and your ID will also be listed too.

I don't think it is possible.  I have always been listed.
