I have a sprint treo 700wx and I was wondering the easiest way to connect it to my computer so I can watch downloaded movies etc

  1. you could install some media server software on your pc (google "TVersity"). You could set this up so you can watch movies that are on your pc from the internet, including on your phone. This would also let you watch the movies on laptops, ps3s and xbox 360s connected to your home network. watching films on phones isn't really practical, though, because the size of the movie file can be +2GB, although properly scaled should be about 200mb. This is an obvious problem, as the cost of downloading that to your phone would make it cheeper to buy a nice, shiney iPod touch or Micro$oft Zune (*shudder*). You could just work around this by putting the movie on an SD card, and playing it with windows media player portable, or something like TCPMP (Google also).

    controlling your pc from a PDA is kind-of impractical because of the amount of data involved, and the complexity. Putting the movies direct onto an SD card is simpler, and more importantly, cheeper. Hope this answer helps.
