Question:

Is there a way to add a AKA to the legal name change for the courts?

I have used a alias version of my middle name as my first name for the last 10 years. Alex(alias) and Alejhendrina(middle name). So to make sure all of my legal identifying documents where consistent with my name I had the name change legally by the courts moving my full middle name to my first name.

But now I think I have a problem because with my employer, memberships, and other documents it shows my alias name but my legal documents only show the full name which do not match.

So I was wondering is there a way to submit to the courts the alias or aka on the order that would show Alex as the alias for Alejhendrina.

  1. On all legal documents, you should put your legal first name down, middle name if it's called for, and last name.  This includes job applications, etc.  But tell them to please call you Alex when you are hired.
