Is there a way to add an sd card as additional ram on an ipaq rx1955 running windows mobile 5.0 ?

It sometimes take forever to load a program or buffer a movie and i was wondering if you could utilize an sd card for this purpose.

Unfortunately no.  And if you could you wouldn't want to anyways - the time it takes to access a storage card is substantially longer than the time it takes to access the ram on your rx1955 - ie it would be slower.

Now - some speed optimization tips:

Sometimes applications running in the background will use up CPU time even when they shouldn't be ... ActiveSync is notorious.  

I use iSS Task Switcher to close applications when they're not in use (it will also force programs to close when you press the X button).

And I use use iSS Task Manager to keep an eye on CPU usage.

Jees ... I sound like a commercial but both applications are avaliable in iSS Essentials - its well worth the money.
